12.April, 2010
They found that African-American students, when asked, shared that peer support for academic achievement was so low that they were forced to look outside of primary associations and work with students of another race who possessed similar attitudes and behaviors towards their education. This tactic has worked and does benefit the at-risk youth if he or she can locate peers with similar values. However, for many at-risk youth this is not the case. They do not find themselves in environments where their peers or close friends possess these educational achievement goals. Based on what you have read, what do you think?
Students Left To Themselves
12.April, 2010
The movie provides a perfect contrast in the correct attempt to meet this need in adolescents, and the incorrect way. On Mark’s first day, as he walks down the hall he peaks his head in a classroom and sees the students behaving wildly. Soon after he enters the teachers lounge and finds the student’s teacher reading a newspaper, leaving his students unattended. While it does allow the need for autonomy to be met, the idea of leaving students alone to fend for themselves was not an effective strategy in the movie. If you were a teacher would you behave like this?
What Do Search Engines Do?
12.April, 2010
Search engines do not just index the websites, they also index
published articles. They also index any article that is written
about your own website’s topic. So once someone searches for that
same topic, the list of results will have your site or may even show
the articles that you have written.
And to think, no effort on your part was used to bring them to your
site. Just your published articles and the search engines.
It is no wonder why many webmasters are suddenly reviving their old
writing styles and taking time to write more articles about their
site than doing other means of promotion.

A Common Enemy Is Required
09.April, 2010
Like Huntington, King agrees that with the absence of a common “enemy” our focus does shift inwardly at our own selves. However, unlike Huntington, King makes it clear that this happens because facing a common enemy required many to put aside their grievances. King sites oppression as the cause for unity and group identity. Notice I did not say national unity or national identity because the exact opposite was true. While the nation was united in the fight against the Germans, African Americans found them continuously discriminated against. Even those who had returned from serving their country found themselves returning to a place they had long tried to forget.

The term dropped out of general use in the Middle Period, when most theological education was in religious residencies, online masters degree and after, in the universities. After the Reformation and the growth of new designations, Theology seminaries once more came into use, specially in the U.S. The 16th-century Council of Trent ordered Seminaries to be opened in every diocese.
In some countries, the term theological college is also employed for secular schools of higher education that teach teachers. While the function of the teaching Seminaries and theology seminaries is dissimilar, the language has not varied. Throughout the 19th century in the US, Seminaries trained women for the only socially satisfactory occupation: teaching. Only single women could become teachers. Many early women’s colleges began as seminaries and created an significant corps of instructors.
the neuter of seminarius
08.April, 2010
A theological college, theological college, or theology college is a special and often live-in higher teaching institution for the intention of instructing students in philosophy, divinity, spiritualism and the religious living, usually in order to train them to be followers of the Church. Pupils in a theological college specially of the Roman Catholic Church are known as Seminarists.
The term “theological college” originates from Latin seminarium “seed bed”, the neuter of seminarius “of or related to seed”, used as a noun. This term is appropriate since a seminary is where the seeds of religious life are sown. The root of this word is semen “seed”, which originates from the identical primaeval Proto-Indo-European root that gave us the words sow and seed.
Other organized religions and cultures as well have religious schools analogous to Christian Theology Seminary. The Islamic and Jewish equivalents to a Western seminary college are called Madrasa and Yeshivah, respectively.
