How web designing companies search for their clients.?

i want to know that how webdesigning companies search for there clients… or make new clients.. like there are sites which offer logo designing , web designing ets .. so i want to knwo that how they make new clients or search for new clients .do they use telecalling or any other ..please help me.
ok if i want to start my own company then what would be the best start..

They market themselves through the internet, print media like rack cards, business cards, newspaper ads, magazine ads, cold calling, word of mouth and direct contact in person….all kinds of ways to market a business like this.

    First they market themselvs through different media….and then they do cold calling,explain about their company,specialities of their company..and sighn up a deal..theres no easy way to find the clients….they should be searched for and made clients….all the best…i think you are in a plan of starting your own company in that very case go for few paper ads initially….recruit a smart marketing professional and your work is half done….lemme plz know the location of compnay so that as a marketing person i may suggest you a better way to go ahead…..all the best.
