I need a website for my [business… let’s say “pet grooming business”], and it’s kind of specific/technical. Are some companies better at meeting my needs?
There are so many websites out there, and I don’t want to pay thousands of dollars because I’m not a multi-million dollar corporation. Are there website companies for regular business owners?
Website design/hosting companies come in many shapes and sizes and fit the needs of those they specialize in serving. Look for companies that service businesses that look like they would be similar in size and scope to yours. Many website companies cater specifically to the small business owners, and as a result do a better job managing, designing, and maintaining a small website with very specific needs. Shop around – you may be surprised to find a company that has designed for several pet grooming shops.

Message me and we can build a site for you, what you pay depends on what you want; prices generally start from £25 an hour or a few hundred for a small site

Being a designer myself, I would suggest you to search someone in ur own locale.
Your expense amount would actually depend on what u want from ur website. Is it a static information giveout website?, or does it have an online payment gateway for consumer to buy ur product online, and how big is ur product lineup and so forth.

When you are looking for someone to do your project have them estimate the cost up front and get a contract on what is to be performed and by who. Also when will this be done.
You can really do this yourself. You needs, while in your mind are complex, prob are not as difficult as you may think.
These templates are free from Microsoft. You might want to look at them. They are fill in the blank and quite professional:

Yes there are companies and yes you should expect to pay thousands of dollars to get someone that’s not only going to meet your needs but do the job right.
We’ve charged companies as much as $60k for a website and believe me, they got a bargain. Creating the right look, understanding site architecture and building a profitable business website all takes talent and that talent doesn’t come cheap.
I know of many, many people that have websites that do not generate money and whenever I ask them if the lower upfront cost was worth it they always tell me it was not.
Give your business the start it deserves. You wouldn’t show up at the big race with a pair of flip-flops because that’s all you could afford because you’d be wasting your time losing the race and your money on the crappy flip-flops.
Your business deserves better.
